The scenes when the mines go off are incredibly harrowing with injuries that made me have to turn away from the screen which is unlike me as you’ll all know. These soldiers are going through an absolute nightmare and you are right there with them.
It’s visceral, disturbing and yet moving at the same time; the bond these soldiers have with each other keeps them struggling to survive even when facing insurmountable odds. The acting doesn’t feel like acting which is a real talent; it’s like you are watching this genuinely unfold which shows how expertly crafted a film this is. The action is mostly just mines exploding but really you won’t want anything else as you just want the men to escape and go home. Would I ever sit through it again? Probably not as like I said I prefer escapism in my movies but overall, you should at least watch Kilo Two Bravo once just to get a better understanding of what the military has to do on a regular basis.
